Parametric Modeling
Digital design tools have allowed architects the ability to engage in an increasingly dynamic and collaborative design process. The current environment demands all project consultants to be capable of responding to changing designs in a timely manner.
HP has employed various parametric modeling platforms (Generative Components and Grasshopper) to meet this demand and to quickly understand the structural implications of changing architectural forms. Depending on project complexity, HP engages in structural discretization and/or geometric rationalization. Linking our parametric models with structural analysis and optimization tools leads to a dramatically quicker structural study time and aids the project team in making more informed decisions earlier in the design process.
