Jun 2009

Halvorson and Partners won awards in two of the five project categories at the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois' (SEAOI) Annual Excellence in Structural Engineering awards program in July.

The Index Building, H+P’s 85-story tapered tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, received the 2009 Best Large Project Award. With a previous win for Caja Madrid in 2008, this marks the second consecutive year H+P has gained the top spot in the category.

Additionally, the energy efficient Richard J. Klarchek Information Commons at Loyola University, Chicago, won the Most Innovative Structure Award, and is featured on the September cover of Structural Engineer magazine.
