IABSE Annual International Conference: HP Presents Caja Madrid Tower and Central Market

One of three presentations in the “Tall Buildings” session, Greg Lakota’s paper on “Design Challenges for the Tallest Tower in Madrid” explored some of the key design issues for this 250 m (820 foot) tower which H+P designed with Foster + Partners to be entirely supported on its two end cores, with no additional columns extending to grade. At the conference, Eric Fenske also presented an overview of Central Market.
