Gregory Lakota has provided structural services for innovative long-span and high-rise structures around the world. Prior to joining Halvorson and Partners (H+P) 15 years ago, Greg was an engineer with SOM in Chicago, where his work included the award-winning 180 m span Korean Air Line Hanger in Seoul.

Greg has been integral in engineering many innovative projects in H+P’s portfolio, including the award-winning structures for Index Tower (330 m) in Dubai and Caja Madrid Tower (250 m) in Madrid, the 1 Park Avenue Tower (600 m) in Dubai, the competition-winning Koyang International Exhibition Center, and the award winning ‘green’ structure of the Information Commons in Chicago. In 2002 he was named a partner at the firm, and in 2006 he was recognized by US Building Design and Construction magazine as one of the top 40 young professionals under 40.

Greg is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, and Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.
