As part of the new Schaumburg Convention Center complex, an 18-story Marriott Hotel will provide onsite accommodation for visitors. The hotel structure is economically configured to minimize floor-to-floor heights, yet maximize floor-to-ceiling openings, by using post-tensioned concrete floor plates without spandrel beams. Conference rooms and large ballrooms link the Hotel to the adjacent Exhibition Hall and a dramatic six-story atrium opens above the main entrance.
