The jewel of this project is the glass and exposed structural steel roof crowning its three-story atrium; it reopens the original skylight long-ago enclosed by a concrete roof. Lagrange and H+P explored numerous solutions to achieve the soaring quality desired to rejuvenate this space. The final solution—four elegant tree-like forms grow from the atrium corners, branching out to support the nearly transparent glass roof framing. A wide variety of other major structural modifications were made to transform this early Graham Anderson Probst & White building into a modern, state-of-the-art office building.
