In an effort to create a dramatic new entry for an existing office complex, Halvorson and Partners was retained to design this complex canopy and the surrounding fountains and planters. The undulating form flows from the exterior plaza into the tower lobby and opens into a vast new public gathering space. Working from a single artist's sketch, HP created several detailed analysis models to optimize the shape and efficiency of the canopy. Through construction, HP led the effort to integrate the new canopy with the existing structure and to minimize the costly surprises associated with most renovation projects.
